At HealthNerd® ("HealthNerd," "we," "us," or "our"), consumer data protection is the foundational principle of our business. Unlike traditional internet lead brokers, we do not resell, rent, trade, or auction your personal contact information to third-party telemarketers or call centers. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or interact with our services.

Non-identifying health parameters: To provide general health insurance plan comparisons, we may collect non-personally-identifying inputs such as age, ZIP code, household size, and general medical profile. These inputs are used solely to display illustrative plan options and are not linked to your identity unless you choose to provide contact details.

Personal contact information: If you choose to request a consultation with a licensed advisor, we may collect your name, phone number, and email address. This information is utilized solely by your assigned HealthNerd advisor to facilitate the consultation you explicitly requested.

Automatically collected information: Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical data (IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and access times) through cookies and similar technologies for site analytics, security, and performance improvement.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To display and compare general health insurance plan options;
• To respond to your explicit requests for a consultation with a licensed advisor;
• To provide, operate, maintain, and improve our website and services;
• To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations; and
• To protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.

3. SMS / Text Message Communications & Consent (A2P 10DLC)

Opt-in consent. By providing your mobile phone number and checking the consent box on any HealthNerd form, you expressly agree to receive SMS/text messages from HealthNerd and its licensed advisors at the telephone number you provided regarding health insurance options, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications related to your request. Message frequency varies but is limited to what is reasonably necessary to fulfill your request (typically 1–4 messages per month). You understand that standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.

Opt-out (STOP). You may cancel all SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message received from HealthNerd. Upon doing so, you will receive a final confirmation message, and no further SMS messages will be sent to your number unless you re-opt-in.

Carriers & messaging partners. SMS messages are delivered through mobile carriers and messaging partners participating in the A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) framework. HealthNerd adheres to all applicable carrier guidelines and the CTIA Messaging Principles and Practices.

No shared or resold data. We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise distribute your mobile number or SMS consent to any unaffiliated third-party telemarketer, lead aggregator, or call center.

4. Communication Guarantee — Zero Spam Pledge

You will never receive unsolicited robo-dials, automated SMS marketing campaigns, or high-volume sales calls from our service without your express prior opt-in consent. Outbound SMS contact occurs exclusively when explicitly requested and consented to by you, and only for the purpose you requested.

5. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only in the following circumstances: (a) with your assigned licensed advisor for the sole purpose of fulfilling your consultation request; (b) with insurance carriers you select to apply for coverage; (c) when required by law, court order, or regulatory authority; and (d) to protect the rights, property, or safety of HealthNerd, our users, or others.

6. Data Security & Retention

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Personal contact information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and to comply with applicable recordkeeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. 8. Do Not Call & Telemarketing Compliance

HealthNerd honors all applicable federal and state Do-Not-Call regulations, including the FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule and the FCC Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). We do not initiate telemarketing calls or SMS messages to any consumer without prior express written consent.
